I think it's really stunning and mysterious. I totally missed this when it happened in December 2010. It was raining when I tried catching it right after I got off from work. Never mind, at least the above image helps to satisfy me for a bit. The moon hides behind the shadow of the moon and in turned reddish brown, how awesome is that? Looking at such beautiful moon, I created a look for it. It's dark, stunning and mysterious...please enjoy the tutorial!

  • Heal Pharm Nose Cleaning Sheet Review

    Chapter 312 - Review

All the while I have been using Biore Pore Strips for years but now I found a new love for pore strips (or at least to me)! It's Heal Pharm Nose Cleaning Sheet and each box contains 10 sheets of pore strips for RM9.90, available at Watsons. I bought mine at a promotional price at RM8+, this result that it's more affordable Biore's. Biore's would cost more than RM10 unless when it comes to promotion/offer. I could only see this product available at Watsons at the moment.

Looking at the back of the box, I believe this product comes from Japan, made in China and imported by Eternity (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. It claims to remove black/white heads  and dead skin cells on nose. Let me list you down the ingredients, just in case it's not too clear from the image above.

    • Polyquaternum-11, water, PVP, isopropyl, alcohol, silica, hammamelis virginiania extract, titanium dioxide, methylparaben menthol, fragrance.

*hammamelis virginiania = witch hazel (natural skin astringent), good for oily and acne-prone skin

This pore strip is thicker than Biore's and it does comes with slits (Biore does too) which allow you to place the pore strips to fit nicely according to your nose shape.

The usage is just like how common pore strips can be used but I use it differently. I always prefer to use mild toner on the pore strips then apply on those. Then I will apply more toner from the outside to make sure it's all soaked and adhere to my nose. Call me crazy but I usually apply pore strips before washing my face. The reason?

    1. Most adhesive from pore strips give me irritation on after use
    2. My cleanser will be able to deep cleanse on my nose area after the extraction. You'll never know how much more left in your pores and I'm guessing it's alright to practice this method. My pores are cleaner this way too.

I like that though I accidentally soaked it with too much toner the adherence is still here. However, with Biore is the total opposite of it. For this pore strip, I like how it adhere firmly and never slip off and since it's thick, it takes more time to wait for it to completely dry. While I'm waiting for it to dry, I could smell light menthol flavor and it does feel a little cooling on my nose too winky. The feeling is good, it's like chilled nose during winter.

The result? Take a look below.

This is the last pore strip from the the box hence you might think that it extracted out too little but I was totally amazed when I use it on the first time. I have never seen Biore's extracted as much and I only use these strips once a week. The continuous use helps to decrease the amount of blackheads too and I notice that the blackheads doesn't look as 'black' as before if there's any.

However, I wouldn't recommend to sensitive skin types because the adherence is stronger compared to Biore. If you have used Biore and you could not stand the pain then this is definitely not for you. I don't have any problem with this yet I feel the satisfaction when I see the amount of blackheads on the pore strips and it's worth it.

    PROs:

    • More affordable than Biore Pore Strips
    • Thick hence doesn't tear easily
    • Extract blackheads very well
    • Helps to decrease the amount of blackhead for continuous use
    • Adhere firmly and never slip off

    CONs:

    • Takes time to dry
    • Not recommended for sensitive skin type (fragrance, adherence)

    My rating: 4.8/5

  • Celebrity Fitness Express @ Lot 10, Kuala Lumpur

    Chapter 311 - Review

Some of you might already know that I headed to gym about a couple of weeks ago from my Facebook. I received a voucher from visiting Glam Bazaar and my bestie, Fyda and I decided to go for it.

It's a free trial for three weeks and lucky me because I believe that if they'll be give out free trial like this, it's usually for just a week. I used to see Celebrity Fitness in 1 Utama and Amber Chia was the face of it but I never know there's one so near to my place. Pardon the above image quality, I made final decision right at the reception to blog about it and quickly grab a picture of it with my cell before registering.

I'm registered by the consultant named Kallon, very polite and attentive when I get to the reception. However, I didn't like that right after explaining to me about the details of trial membership, he seems to hurried me asking if I'm interested in joining membership without any brochures or leaflets on the fees. I mean give me a break, I have not even go around and try anything yet. At least give me some time and come back to me when you see me around again?

The trial membership sheet has to be shown on every visit. It's about half of an A4 paper, which I think they should improvise on this because this paper can be easily torn and lost.

Anyways, the staff at the reception has been very nice and friendly all the time and the one on the right smiling widely is Fadhli (if I didn't get his name wrongly). They were very helpful when Fyda forgot her trial membership sheet and get her signed in with just her cell number. We usually get a towel card each but sometimes they don't give it, we still get our towel by showing our trial membership sheet.

This is some clonking metal stairs that I climb up and down everyday. I went to gym right after work on weekdays and my heels are still on. I had to be really careful with the steps, there were a few times I almost lost balance from it.

On the first day being there, there wasn't any appointed trainer to bring us around. Sad, we had to explore bits of the machines by ourselves first. We didn't know how to use other machines than the treadmills and RPMs. We usually run for 20 minutes to warm up ourselves, my top speed on treadmill is only 8.7.  GAH, I wish I could be better.

Later, we were approached by a random trainer who is willing to bring us and teach us around. Finally, we have our own trainer to show us around and for our personal training. I'll introduce to you our trainer later on the post. We've been mistaken to be sisters most of the time, many kept asking if we both is. Apparently, people are saying that we both look similar and we get it all the time since high school. We were also mistaken to be at the age of 17-18, we're really happy since we turn out to look younger on the public's eye.

We learned a lot of different machines that be able to work out on different parts of our body. My mission to the gym is to kick the fats off me? Maybe? But I want more flesh on my cheeks!

Oh, just a friendly reminder. Try to snack 1-2 hours before your gym session because that will provide you enough energy. If you have taken heavy meal try to rest about 3-4 hours before going to one. On the first day, I was a little starving and I ignored it. After the 20 minutes of treadmill, I was extremely dizzy. The dizzy-ness lasted for more than an hour and a half.

One of the main reason that I wanted to join the gym is yoga and I totally in love with how beautiful the surrounding of the outside. It felt so serene and peaceful. The yoga studio is slightly warm and I've joined twice on yoga for beginners. Love it so much! I never thought I could sweat so much from just a couple of mild stretching. I learned yoga isn't just about the flexibility and balancing, it involves the mind, body and soul, breathing concentrations and lifting our own body. The music that the instructor played was so relaxing and the session always starts and ends with five minutes of relaxing the body. The yoga mat smells really bad whenever my face is so close to it but I can't complain it, it's been provided.

This is the aerobic studio and active movement classes are being held here. We've joined the belly dancing and Ritmo Zum. I love all of them! I love dancing since I was a child. I think I started dancing on stage ever since 6 years old and I never lost interest on it although I never attend any classes. My dancing interest grew more when I was in cheer-leading at the age of 16. I think I dance pretty well in those classes, just that I wasn't so good in remembering them. I love to feel the flexibility of my tummy during belly dancing and I think I have never fail in shaking my bum  so far silly. Ritmo Zum was quite a happening class, it's about more than 20 people participated. It sounds crowded but the class was really lively. It's like a freestyle dancing, the combination of Latin, cha-cha, body combat, body shaking and etc. Whenever we came out from that class, we always learned something new.

Regarding on the classes, I like the convenience of checking the timetables available from their website. Therefore, I don't need to always check the time table upon my visit.

We were provided three personal training sessions and remember the random trainer that I mentioned earlier? He is no longer random and we are just like friends teaching and guiding each other. It's very easy to get along with him.

This is our trainer, Fauzi. If you have the chance to choose your trainer, I highly recommend getting him as one of yours. You could just quote my name to him and I believe he could still remember me. If he's being mean to you, just let me know. I'll poke him for you, LOL silly.

He is friendly, careful, funny, flexible yet firm during the training. During our training, he assisted us carefully and never try to be funny in handling the machines and always ask if we know how to use them. Most of the time, we don't know and he end up demonstrating it to us all the time before we start. He always try to be right beside us especially when we did on heavy weight lifting, just so you know we don't get injured ,drop  it and /or break anything around us. He did tease us sometimes for not capable to go further. It's part of the fun isn't it?

Surprisingly I noticed that when he assisted men trainees, he seems to be much strict and staying right in front of the trainee during weight lifting. There was once I saw him just sitting in front of the trainee and just did the counting. Didi is another trainer who did join to train us on the first session because Fauzi wasn't allowed to monitor both of us at the same time but in the end, Fauzi took care of us very well. Professionally, I would think that he wasn't allow to do so because accident can happen to both of us at the same time and pretty much didn't happen. Fyda and I seems to be together so much during gym sessions, kind of inseparable even for personal training sessions.

During personal training sessions, we learned on the cardio exercise on treadmills and RPMs, dumbbell weight lifting for arms and shoulder, machines for arm, leg, shoulder and back, sit ups (which I'm pretty bad at it because my foot kept moving around) and kick fit.

Anyhow, he did explain to us on joining into membership package which includes personal training sessions and a month of free access. The fee was out of our boundaries, however he did not push hard on us into getting one which I like because I never like pushy people afterall.

On the right is Didi where I mentioned earlier, who joined us on our first personal training.

Other trainers that never kept their smile away whenever they see us. See the punch bag behind? That's what we've been getting on with it on kick fit session.

Kick fit was one of the personal training that I never forget. What we had is to get hand wrap around our knuckles and palm, then wear the boxing gloves. The boxing gloves was HOLY SMELLY! I get the idea that whenever people use it and start to sweat a lot in it but something must done because the smell stunk my hands even after bathing. Please get some sanitizer or air freshner (at least) to get rid the smell.

Kick fit is pretty much punching on the punch bag and we learn different movements from it. It's pretty funny realizing that many gym users were looking at us as they pass by when we're punching the bag. I hope in their mind was thinking, we girls could still rock on this. Although with the hand wrap, my knuckles went red for the entire day. It was pretty painful and my skin burned a little, I probably pushed myself too hard. We both get pretty tired at the end because it doesn't only involve arm strength but legs too. It was that bad that the pain lasted for a couple of days, I even had trouble going to the loo.

We also did a body assessment, I weight 48.8kg now. Gosh, I think I put on 0.8kg and I think it's coming from the belly. My body fat is 23.4 % (normal) and body age metabolism rate is at 18 years old. That has lead to my BMI 17.9 which shows that I'm underweight but I feel fat! Visceral fat are the fat surrounding our internal organ and mine is at 1 which is normal. However I don't have enough muscles around my trunk and legs.

Oh, I almost forgot to show the towel counter. This guy's name is Farhan, it was really cool of him to pose in front of my camera when he was busy with the towels, I felt bad in disturbing him. All gym users will always be given two towels, one bathing towel and one small sweat towel. I use the sweat towel as hair wrap  after shower.

Let me give you a short tour of how does the rest rooms look like, the only thing I forgot to snap a shot is the amazing lighted mirrors with hair dryers around.

These are the L-shaped lockers around and everyone has to bring their own locks, which is troublesome. If I wasn't informed by Fyda, I wouldn't know that I have to bring one. It wasn't even mentioned during my registration. I recommend using number coding locks because it's really troublesome to use ordinary that comes with keys. The chances of you losing your keys around the gym pretty high and that is what happened to Fyda.  She lost her key once and gotten the lady assistant to cut off her lock to open up her locker. I don't have pockets on my pants and I had to secure the key ring onto my ring.

They even have changing cubicles which is really good because not everybody will be able to change their clothing right in front of the locker or at the bath cubicles.

This is how the bath cubicles look like, they have provided shampoo and shower gel but they smelt like insecticide so I recommend bringing your own. Many doesn't know that there are hooks on the outside wall of the cubicle to hang their towels. Take this picture for example, people hang their towel over the metal bar instead.

These are one of our favorites, steam bath and sauna. Call us crazy but we used both on the first day and we learn the lesson not to go both after another. You'll get pretty much dehydrated and dizzy. We love the steam bath and the longest we stayed in there was for 20 minutes.

The weighing scale is your friend especially when you want to lose weight. When I was in school I learn this weighing scales are more accurate than digital ones but you just have to be patient on getting it right.

Overall, we both enjoyed a lot at the gym for the three weeks. Just need some improvement in several areas. I would love to join but I just have other things to come across financially. I was wishing that there will be separate packages for classes and gyms. I do recommend this gym, they do have water stations around the gym which again, I forgot to take a shot of it. I wished that they have a swimming pool (I believe they could because there is a sufficient area right outside of the gym) but this is the express gym I wouldn't want to expect much. I heard from my friend said the one in Mid Valley (head quarters) has swimming pool.

Celebrity Fitness is available in selected countries such as Indonesia and India. For more information, please visit their website here.

  • Holiday Sparkles Tutorial and Happy 2011!

    Chapter 310 - Wishes

    Happy New Year!!!

I almost forgot to update on the latest tutorial that I made for the holidays. Please enjoy!

How was your New Year's eve celebration? I had load of fun, my friends from Australia came for holiday and we had so much fun! Fireworks, food, dancing, shopping, sight seeing and etc. They were really thoughtful and bought me some gift from Korea, check it out here. We hadn't seen each other for about more than two years ever since my BF and I left Australia for good.

I had my hair done on the eve and I love it so much. Hair cut and color of purplish black. Don't mind those puffy eyes, it's from the restless nights I had. Thanks to those who helped me to decide in my Facebook. To get this color, I had my hair bleached before it and I'm hoping it won't be too light when the color fades. What do you think?

I wish everyone will have a great year ahead, keep yourself strong for everything. Never give up!

  • Kiehl's Christmas Party @ Pavilion Kuala Lumpur

    Chapter 308 - Event

I have no regrets going for this event. I left happily with my bestie. It's the Kiehl's Christmas Party held at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur just last Friday.

We registered ourselves from the RSVP and look, little candy canes. It's adorable! All attendees were given Santa's hat. Like it, that's the spirit of Christmas!

Check out the amount of food! Loads of it, grilled chicken, fruit crumbles in cupcake, mini croissants, pizzas, chicken kebabs, chocolate cakes, cheese care and Christmas log cake.

Being gullible me, I just love my food and it tasted really good! I love to eat but I want to loose my tummy, it's going to be impossible sad.I heard that it's coming from a blogger too but I couldn't remember who is it.

Something different than we usually to see outside of the club, test tube drinks. The mixture is definitely non-alcoholic and they are using natural ingredients. Let's see what's in the drink list.

I like the Blue Herbal Concoction, it definitely feels refreshing after drinking it. A Wonderland of Merry was really nice too, somewhat like how Bailey's Mint Chocolate tasted without alcohol. Love it but couldn't get enough of it because I could finish it in a gulp from the test tube. Slurp~!

There's also cotton candy up for grab! I felt like a child again, I never miss my cotton candy. It's fluffy like a dreamland could be.

This puppy balloon was given to my bestie, I wanted to grab one but too bad the staff walked away too quickly.

We cam-whores with our Santa Hat, I bet it could be useful for slumber party too!

We browse around and when I enter the store, it brings back some nostalgic feeling especially the tiles written Kiehl's on it. Oh, the Creme de Corps is a must try! It has natural ingredients like soy milk and honey, it smelt extremely good! The after smell smelt like mango, it's that good that I sniffed my hand almost on the entire time for that night.

This is Nadia, introducing us about Kielh's and what will we be doing for the night. She's really friendly and funny. Love her shoes!

First game for the night is musical candle where a few attendees who join the game will have to pass the candle around with the music is on. Once the music stops, the person who held it has to do what audience want them to be.

On the left is the first winner, replicating Santa. There wasn't any attendees voice out what she has to be and she had to draw papers from a Kiehl's box. On the right is the second winner, yes the child has replicate Mr Bones. The winner is his mother actually but the boy interrupted cutely during the game, I bet everyone went awwwww that time.

We took a break after the game and Nadia was explaining about the gift packages available. There's a colorful tote bag to be given upon some purchase.

Second game where players will have to take the paper out of the balloon without bursting it and there is a letter on the paper. They had to name one of the product from the letter! I'll be tough for me on this, I don't really know all of it.

More browsing after the games, here are some packages available for this holiday season. This is the hair care range package for RM323 which includes the Amino Acid Shampoo, Amino Acid Conditioner, Climate-Proof, Shine-Enhancing Non-Aerosol Spray, Bath and Shower Liquid Body Cleanser,  Body Lotion Grapefruit and Olive Fruit Oil Deeply Repairative Hair Pak.

Body care range for RM253 which includes Creme de Corps Soy Milk and Honey Body Polish, Nurturing Body Washing Cream, Creme de Corps and Amino Acid Shampoo.

Skincare range package for RM510 which includes Powerful-Strength Line Reducing Concentrate, Ultra Light Daily UV Defense SPF50 PA+++, Ultra Facial Toner, Ultra Facial Micro Serum, Ultra Facial Cream and Ultra Facial Cleanser.

There are more other packages, check it out on their Holiday 2010 Special Edition promos.

You could pick gift packages according to theme that they have or you can actually customized your own gift sets.

There is also available in the store limited edition Jeff Koons Creme De Corp. Jeff is well known for his art and he is also the father of an abducted child. He has battled on two continents to get his son back. With his fame and influence, his son was unable to be returned to his custody. There fore The Koons Family Institute was created, a resource of the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children. 100% of the Kiel's worlwide net profits up to $200 000 will go to the institute.

This were the door gifts for attendees, Bath and Shower Liquid Body Cleanser and Amino Acid Shampoo.

Love the mail box! Couldn't use this especially in the city, there are people who steal mails!

The cotton candy did attract a lot of passerby. It's given free later on to anyone who queue for it. How nice of them!

Thanks Kiehl's for giving this opportunity to attend this party, my bestie and I enjoyed ourselves so much that night! It's definitely worth it to spend our Friday night with you.

  • The Coming Christmas & Santa, I have something for you!

    Chapter 307 - Makeup Tutorial

It's been a while again that I hadn't update any video tutorial and I think for Christmas it's the best excuse to come out with one. Here I present to you... The Coming Christmas!

I went for gym lately right after work hence of limited time to create videos, my apologies. Also, another reason that kept me away from making videos is my skin condition. I think previously I mentioned a little about my skin crisis and now it's taking time to heal, which is a good news. I can't wait for it to heal completely till my skin is free from acne/pimples/bumps.

With Christmas around the corner, I believe some would be as excited as I would. I already have plans for eve and day, it's going to be awesome. The excitement has lead me to paint my nails last night and it turned out like this:

I think it turned out okay. Red with white snow flakes and flaky glitters on it. Very festive huh?

    . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Santa, I have something for you...

I guess it's perfectly normal for people to list out what they want for Christmas. I hope its not too late, I don't have much too ask. Some could be high priority and some doesn't matter if it's not fulfilled. Here's my wish list:

    1. Been eying this Samsung ST500. It has dual LCD screen which allow from you to snap pictures from both ways. I already have Canon Powershot SX1 IS but it's too bulky and heavy if I were to bring it daily in my bag. You'll never know when you'll need to be taking pictures especially being a blogger.

Maybe I should consider getting a new cell phone. Any idea which phone be able to capture great photo qualities?

    www.traclynyeoh.com

    2. Tadaa... this is something I have consider for more than a year. Such a long period isn't it? At first, I planned to just go for another blog host. Xanga features are pretty limited as a free user. Nothing from java script I could encode into my page at all which includes chat box, networkedblog widgets, nuffnang ads and etc. It all runs by HTML coding only. If I were to move to a blog host, I might as well change it into a domain too. I've search for VogueFemme.com as domain but it has been taken already.

The reason why I have consider this so long is I'm really afraid that I lose my readers. I have blogger friends who losses their readers after they change to domain. It kept me thinking if it would happen to my blog and of course I hope it doesn't. I could understand that Xanga could be un-user friendly for non-users. I came to know that there is misunderstanding people think in order to leave comment, they have to sign up for Xanga just because the sign up for Xanga popped up. You don't have too but as I said it's a misunderstanding because in leaving comments in Xanga, they automatically have in in default as Xanga user. This is why I have a poll for you to vote if you will still follow me when I change to the above domain. It will be in Facebook, please vote here ! Your voting mean a lot to me. If there wasn't much people are going to follow, I'll take it as a challenge as a fresh start. I'm not going to give up.

    Clear & Blemish Free Skin

    3. My skin crisis started since middle of year, at about June or July. I have seeked a dermatologist and my skin is healing very well. I will soon let you know who is my dermatologist and he is pretty famous especially for whom is staying in the city. If you want to give advice on what I should I do for my skin without seeing the doctor, just so you know I want you to know my daily routine.

    • Cleanse face three times a day (2 times with mild cleaner, 1 time with gentle daily scrub)
    • Walk to work that takes 40 minutes for going and returning home
    • Drink green tea five days a week
    • Eat kiwi daily after work when reached home
    • Nap for at least 30 minutes after taking my fruits
    • Taking supplements (morning = Spirulina, before bed = zinc)
    • Lemon drink on empty stomach every morning (one pinch of salt, lemon juice with lukewarm water, suppose to detox & beautify skin)

    4. Unazukin, the nodding doll either the Cherry Blossom or Rose. I've been wanting this forever ever since one Korean drama that I've watched. I couldn't remember which one. It's really cute, you'll be able to ask question and it could nod or shake their head. It's no longer in production according to Bandai's Official Website. I couldn't find it locally and searched through Ebay, it's pretty expensive!

    5. Revlon Color Stay Liquid Foundation, I know a lot of people rave about this. Outdated huh? I need to drop by my local drugstore to find my shade for this.

    6. Rilakkuma merchandise from Watsons, they are just so cute! From left to right, plastic mug(purple), iPhone pink case (limited edition),fleece blanket, ceramic mug(purple) and 10 inch plushie (which I love to keep it in my bag).

    Adobe Premiere Elements 9

    7. I really want to improve my videos and I want to try this software. I know one of my friend is getting this for me, give it a shout out WOO HOOOO! With high hopes, my future videos will be more interactive. Have you try this? Let me know what you want to see in my videos.

I guess I'll stop here at the moment, if I could think any I'll update this list and have it posted in my Facebook. See? My wish list isn't too bad~
